The Merge Symposium
The Merge Symposium will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015, in Baltimore, Maryland from 8:00 am - 8:30 pm. This one-day empowerment event was created by CEO and Founder of Relevé Entertainment, Dr. Holly Carter. The event is an extension of the Merge Summit, which is held in Los Angeles, California annually. It will consist of a full day of educational industry-influenced master classes designed to empower the next generation of leaders. Those attending will have an opportunity to network with and learn from the top Hollywood executives and entertainers from film, television, music, ministry and more.
The empowerment experience features industry executives such as Executive Producer Mona Scott-Young, VP of Talent & Casting of BET Networks Robi Reed, Senior VP of tvOne D'Angela Proctor, Oscar Nominated Recording Artist Michelle Williams, Author & Editor at Large Nikki Taylor, and Host & Managing Editor of News One Now Roland Martin. The mission of the symposium is to merge mainstream media with faith-based content in a way that inspires today's emerging generation of leaders.
Dr.Holly Carter is also the creator of Oxygen's "Preachers Of...." franchise that now has shows in Los Angeles, Detroit and Atlanta. Her other recent television projects include "Fix My Choir"(Oxygen) and "The Sheards" (BET). She also created and executive produced BET's "106 & Gospel," and packaged and produced feature films"The Gospel" (Rainforest Films/Sony Screen Gems), "In the Mix" (Lionsgate) and faith based indie "A Beautiful Soul."
