The 22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards Hosts Multiple Pre-Show Events

The 22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards kicked off the week with an array of events. Included was a behind-the-scenes and auction display, held on January 28th. In attendance were SAG Nominees, Sola Bamis (“Mad Men”) and Lesley Nicol (“Downtown Abby”), in which interviews were conducted with both actresses. Other attendees included SAG Awards Executive Producer, Kathy Connell, Production Designer, Joe Stewart, Event Designer, Keith Greco, Awards Event Supervisor, Andrea Wyn Schall, Florist, Christopher Matsumoto, Champagne Taittinger Global Spokesperson and Artistic Director, Viatlie Taittinger and Patron Marketing Manager, Ed Blinn.

On display was food, wine by Treasury Wines, champagne provided by Champagne Taittinger (the official champagne of the SAG Awards), Patron Tequila, and an elegent table décor and flowers arranged by Christopher Matsumoto. Fiji Water, the official water of the SAG Awards was served throughout the event.

The SAG Awards Ceremony Auction began on January 29th. The auction benefits the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s Children’s Literacy & Assistance Programs. The auction offers television and movie fans the opportunity to win autographed collectibles signed by many of this year's nominated actors and casts. Some of the items featured at the auction were autographed collectables from nominated actors, cast and set visits to “E” News and “Entertainment Tonight.” The auction will close on February 8th at 9 p.m. (ET) / 6 p.m. (PT). Also included in this year's line-up of SAG Awards events was the Red Carpet Roll-Out, which took place on January 29th. This was, perhaps, one of the most exciting parts of the day. As media set their cameras, the Roll-Out began. Participants included SAG Awards Committee Chair, JoBeth Williams, L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti, Katie Lowes (Scandel), and Lea DeLaria (Orange is the New Black).

Following the Red Carpet Roll-Out was a preview of the SAG Awards Gala location. The Gala was hosted by People Magazine and the Entertainment Industry Foundation.
