UNCF MAYOR'S MASKED BALL

The UNCF Mayor’s Masked Ball was held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the JW Marriott at LA Live, in Los Angeles, CA. The LA chapter was hosted by Mayor Eric Garcetti. Lonnie G. Bunch III, Founding Director of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture and Marx Cazenave, a well-known entrepreneur and business Hall of Fame inductee, were honorees, at the ball.

Special guests included Derek Fisher, Baron Davis, Edwin Hodge, Dawnn Lewis, Salli Richardson-Whitfield, Michael Jai White, Darius McCrary, Laura Govan, Tiffany Hines, Lisa Nicole Cloud, T’Keyah Crystal Keymah, James Wright, Sebastian Ridley-Thomas and Lisa Nicole Cloud.

The evening featured a live auction, elegant dining, live entertainment performed by DW3 plus UNCF’s signature Parade of Stars and Dignitaries and the Parade of Masks, which was announced by the incomparable actress and singer, Dawnn Lewis.

The Mayor's Masked Ball is one of the largest events put on by UNCF in cities across the United States. The event focuses on securing better futures for the next generation of leaders. This year’s Ball raised $500,000 for UNCF.
