TV ONE PREMIERES UPCOMING ORIGINAL FILM "WHEN LOVE KILLS" IN LOS ANGELES AT THE HARMONY GO
On Tuesday, August 22nd, TV One hosted the Los Angeles premiere for the upcoming original film, "WHEN LOVE KILLS: The Falicia Blakely Story," at The Harmony Gold. The theater was packed with over 400 attendees. The film marks the feature-length directorial debut for Tasha Smith and stars Niatia "Lil' Mama" Kirkland, Lance Gross, Tami Roman, Tiffany Black and also guest stars Floyd Mayweather, Big Freedia and Lil Zane.
“WHEN LOVE KILLS: The Falicia Blakely Story” tells the tragic true story of Falicia Blakely, a teen mom from Atlanta who grows up in the fast-lane. When she becomes an exotic dancer, she attracts the attention of local pimp and predator, Dino. His empty promises of a life together turn Falicia into a pawn in his dangerous games, and she's forced to prove her love for him at the expense of innocent lives.
Special guests in attendance of the screening included: Angela Bassett, Loni Love, Tiffany "New York" Pollard, Tisha Campbell-Martin, Safaree, Essence Atkins, Judge Faith Jenkins, Bresha Webb, Estelita, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Miracle Watts, MAJOR., Apryl Jones, Joy Rovaris, Jensen Atwood, Jon Chaffin, Jasmine Brand, Jackie Long, Flex Alexander, Ferrari, Christian Keyes, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Andra Fuller, Michelle Rice (TV One, Interim General Manager) and more. Following the screening, the cast conducted Q&A moderated by Kevin Fraizer.
