The Dallas Mavericks Win 114 - 80 Over the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Dallas Mavericks played an outstanding game tonight, with a 114 - 80 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. The Mavericks used a 14-3 run, early in the game, to turn a one-point deficit (5—4) into a 10-point advantage (18-8). Dallas then led for the duration of the game. Harrison Barnes scored 25 points, with 10 points in the second quarter. The Mavericks led in half-time, 56-30. Mavericks guard, J.J. Barnes and Doug McDermott both scored 20 points. The Mavericks are now 21-45.

Mavericks Head Coach Rick Carlisle spoke on McDermott’s performance:

“I like him. Tonight, we had him playing some of the floor position, which is probably more of a natural position for him. But, it is great that he can play both positions. If you get him open and running around, he is going to make shots. He is working at the defensive end to get better and that is where the challenges are.”

Doug McDermott talks on how he feels about winning:

“Good, we are playing really well together out there, chemistry’s great. We’re really getting out there on transitions, getting stops and leading to easy buckets”, said Doug McDermott.

Grizzlies forward JaMychal Green notched his 12th double-double of the season with 14 points, a team-high 10 rebounds, two assists and one steal in 29 minutes. Grizzlies rookie forward, Dillon Brooks, led the team with 17 points, marking his 4th straight game with 17-plus points.

Grizzlies Head Coach J. B. Bickerstaff spoke on how difficult it is with all the players being out:

“It is difficult because your role changes and it changes overnight. There are more expectations on you, more things that you have to carry out, more assignments and those types of things. It is a difficult situation to be put in and it is a difficult load to carry.”

Dillon Brooks talks on how the team is dealing with the current 17 game losing streak:

“It is in our mind every game. We are trying to figure out what is working and try to keep progressing through that. But, not a lot is clicking right now, we have to get back to the drawing board and we just got to clear our heads and go in next game energetic and act like we love the game.”

19,579 were in attendance for tonight’s Maverick game. They have sold out 672 consecutive regular-season home games, which is an NBA-best sellout streak.

The Mavericks will play the Houston Rockets tomorrow night, March 11th at 6 pm CT. Watch the game on FSSW or listen on ESPN 103.3 FM or Univision 1270 AM.
