CABRINI, Starring Cristiana Dell’Anna, In Theaters Now

Angel Studios announces the release of CABRINI, the latest film from SOUND OF FREEDOM Director Alejandro Monteverde. The movie will hit theaters nationwide on March 8, 2024.


“Francesca Cabrini's story is both inspiring and often overlooked. Despite facing immense challenges, she dedicated herself to making a difference in her time, leaving a lasting impact,” said Liz Ellis, Chief Operating Officer at Angel Studios. “We're excited to bring her remarkable tale to audiences this Spring. This marks our second collaboration with Alejandro Monteverde, and our community is eagerly anticipating this project.”


CABRINI, directed by Alejandro Monteverde, portrays the journey of Francesca Cabrini, an Italian immigrant who defied odds to become a prominent entrepreneur in the 19th century. Battling sexism and bigotry, she rose above societal constraints through determination, courage, and business acumen.


The cast includes Cristiana Dell’Anna, John Lithgow, David Morse, Giancarol Giannini, and Federico Castelluccio. Rod Barr penned the screenplay, with the story co-authored by Barr and Monteverde.


This release follows the success of Monteverde’s previous film, SOUND OF FREEDOM, which continues to excel at the US box office, grossing over $180M since its July 4th debut, with international markets being progressively tapped.
