The 9th Annual Black Music Honors dazzled audiences at the prestigious Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, GA on May 18th. This yearly extravaganza pays homage to the remarkable achievements and profound contributions of Black music luminaries.
The star-studded event drew a galaxy of musical icons, including Ceelo Green, MC Lyte, Marsha Ambrosius, Chrisette Michele, and many more, each adding their unique sparkle to the evening.
Guiding us through this musical odyssey were hosts LeToya Luckett and DeRay Davis, who skillfully steered the proceedings, adding wit and charm to the celebration.
The ceremony shone a spotlight on the extraordinary careers of Johnny Gill, Patrice Rushen, Bootsy Collins, and Hezekiah Walker, while also surprising MC Lyte with a heartfelt tribute.
