EMERGING HIP HOP ARTIST YOUNG TWAUN RELEASES NEW SINGLE "CHANGE" FEATURING R&B DIVA CH

Antwain “Young Twaun” released his new single “Change” featuring R&B Diva Chante Moore, on iTunes. The twenty-three year old Detroit native is issuing a Call-to-action to the Hip-Hop Nation to Unite for Justice, through his motivational anthem. As a young Black man in America and having grown up in an underserved inner city neighborhood, “Young Twaun” can relate to the pains felt by the families of victims who have been gunned down, due to senseless violence and police shootings. In the single, “Change,” it’s not only the rapper’s emotional cry for artists and communities to stand up against a war that’s bigger than just race, but to encourage his generation to stand up against injustice, violence, racism, police brutality and other social adverse. It channels some of his anger and hopelessness in regards to the latest tragedies, which have made news headlines, into positive action. The artist’s goal is to inspire a movement.

"I'm releasing this song because I am honestly hurt and know that we need change on this earth... things like this cannot keep going on," he shared. "I want to push for unity and healing in this universe with all my heart because I know the pain of losing someone to senseless killings. I know how much we need God to touch this earth and our infirmities. So, I want to step up and encourage my generation to start changing," explains Young Twaun.

Young Twaun’s occurring release "Where You From" (#WYF) has earned 1.4 million marks on Twitter since its release. The #WYF "Rep Yo City" remix, produced by Kenny Steezin, features a verse from Kurupt Young Gotti of that Dogg Pound and was featured on the Street Scriptures Vol. 1 Mixtape. Currently, artists from all over the world are adding their own remixed verse to "Where You From" to represent their hometowns. The rapper’s music has aired on several radio stations throughout various regions. He has shared the stage with popular artists in the genre such as Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Wale, Too Short, Verse Simmonds, and Young Dro.

"For me as an artist, the goal is to change the world through music," he explains. "I started out making records like "Thuggin'" and "Welcome to the Streets," but I figured, how can I change the world if I'm falling in the same lane as everyone else doing these types of songs? Instead of celebrating street life and grimy behavior, why not tell the world that you can be anything that you want to be? Just because I was born in it doesn't mean I have to stay in it."

"Change" is available for download on iTunes, beginning today, June 15th. For updates and inquiries on Young Twaun, email youngtwaunbookings@gmail.com. To join the "Change" movement, follow Twaun on social media:
